Goose Fair, Goose Fowl Artist: Cathy Simpson
This design was inspired by Nottingham’s historic Goose Fair, where fattened geese were driven from as far away as Lincoln to be sold at market. It was a Michaelmas fair, indicated by the use of Michaelmas daises as part of the design. The spirit of Robin Hood lies hidden cheekily in the forest background

R2 Tweet2 Artist – Mik Richardson
Artist Mik Richardson is a huge Star Wars fan. One of the most iconic characters is the little droid R2-D2. Not only does the sculpture of the robin lend itself so well to the little robot, but the play on words just worked perfectly with the title

Nottingham Forest artist – Kathleen Smith
This design shows how the artist connects Nottingham and Sherwood Forest together in her mind – probably also helped by the name of a famous local football team! The design shows the forest creeping into Nottingham, bu also shows how providing even small areas of plants and trees within the city can bring wildlife into the city streets for the benefit of everyone.

What’s Notts? Artist: Paul Atchison
Artist Paul Atchison has always been inspired by the many talented people in the art, music and design industry – and the robin he has created features many famous Nottingham names.
