This was an area of wharfs and warehouses, over the years I lived in Tooting I have watched as many of these new developments have been built. When I left London 9 years ago the building was still continuing, today for the first time I have been able to walk from Wandsworth bridge, (far left of photo) to Battersea Park beside the river Thames. apart from one small detour around the London Heliport
