Flower skirt by overalvandaan

Flower skirt

Get pushed challenge set by Brett was a challenge indeed!

I had two ideas and had them prepared, but with young children it will go different (well with me and the children, and I don't want to force them into my plans with the risk they never want to be in front of the camera again). I had seen some beautiful forced perspective shots on Pinterest of using a flower as dress/skirt. Lev was holding the flower and positioning it under my instructions, but Roz couldn't really dance still and she didn't want to take her leggings off ('I don't want a skirt'). Sep was asking me every second, 'when is it my turn, when is it my turn' (even though I'd told him it would be after Roz). Then the flower stem broke, and then Roz didn't want to dance and stand in the distance and Sep didn't want to replace her because he didn't want to be 'in a skirt'.

I'll spare you the story of the other idea (also seen on Pinterest, of a child holding up several other children).
@brett101 not so successful on the 'forced perspective' front, but I tried and will try again sometime :-)

It may not fit the classical definition of forced perspective, but it's a really eye-catching photo and just adorable!

I think it works very well for forced perspective, a different take on it but definitely works well. Nicely imagined and photographed.

What a charming story, made me smile so much. I so hope we get to see the child holding several other children as I think that will be just as an amusing story

So sweet! So glad that your kids are eager participants and helpers!!
This may not be classic forced perspective - but it definitely works here!

How wonderful....your children are adorable, although the boys won't like "adorable" like your story & the photo..Smile :)

Oh, I've often dreamt of recreating this image, I strongly suspect my kids would do and say exactly as yours did, I love your description, I can relate!! This is a great image.
