Too much snow! by pamalama

Too much snow!

We were slammed with snow yesterday. I measured 18 inches on my deck when it was over with. We lost electricity at 5am. It won’t be restored until Friday. That is an estimated time. Hopefully sooner. A lot of trees could not withstand the weight of the snow. There are trees down everywhere. It is just a mess! My apple trees are damaged pretty badly. I ventured out early and took many photos with the orb, but can’t upload until the internet is back on. I do have internet on my phone, and took this picture of the snow on my deck.
Holy guaccamole! That's A LOOOT!!!!
3 days without electricity??? We'd freeze...

Yikes, that is a lot of snow. Great shot. We had snow yesterday but no accumulation. So sorry about your power going out. I hope it gets restored soon.

Oh no, so hard to believe! I know what you are going through re electricity! Atm we have none, 4x a day for two and a half hours each! Sometimes it stays off! Hope you get yours back soon.

This looks like it should be January! And the thought of no power for several days doesn't sound good!! Stay safe.

I guess it's extraordinary in your area as well? Helps Trump saying: what about climate change :-( Good luck and stay safe. And thanks for the beautiful photo!

@djepie thank you, Jaap. It’s not really extraordinary for my area. We see snow in May. We are way below normal for snow fall. We are use to getting an average of 200 inches a year. This year we have not come close. I am not sure what Trump said about climate change, but I do know we have a problem.

@monikozi @ltsybitsy @ingrid01 @billdavidson @milaniet @ludwigsdiana Thank you! We are fortunate to have a wood stove, and a generator to keep food from spoiling. The snow is melting fast, and Mother Nature is being much kinder today.

@pamalama 200 inches! In Holland I guess somewhere between 0 and 20 inches in a great year... And as for Trump, he is one of world's biggest climate change ignorants.
