Life is insistent

Stacking in the firewood in preparation of the long rainy weather is a neverending chore at my house. Went to the woodshed and found that one of the redwood logs has decided it wasn't ready to give up the ghost. Actually a lot of redwoods grow this way, from, "Nurse Logs"
Love!! We have a place here in Indiana called Sycamore Row where in the 1830s sycamore trees were felled and used to line a swampy area of a newly built road. Trees grew up from these logs and grew along the roadside for years. Now the state has marked that part of the old road and the trees along it with a plaque and the current state road bypasses those trees. I love how nature is, as you put it so well, insistent.

@olivetreeann I don't know if it will be able to be rooted or not but I'm going to try @princesicita I know it came from a beautiful tree, but the wind blew the top off it last march, that is where that log came from.
