The Rewards of Reading

After holding a contest to see which classroom could read the most minutes out of a month, the Principal gamely gave each student in the winning class a can of silly string and climbed on the stage in front of them and spread his arms and braced himself and invited them to spray him . In a K-8 school, the second grade was the clear winners.
Yay for the readers and for the second graders!! They have great hand-eye coordination. And you got yourself a great photo!

That is awesome!! Really a good way to get the kids to read and good for the Principal/student relationship. Our Catholic school did something similar but the principal said she's wear the school uniform for a week if the school passed a certain number of hours reading. The kids topped that number by a lot and loved seeing her in a plaid jumper.

Oh man the fumes were thick in there and he had it all over his face. I was glad he didn't choke but it was funny and over quickly
