Here it is, another Tuesday, which in June means another, "Welcome to my neighborhood" picture.
Here we have the top of Washington Boulevard, which is the Street where the Boys went to High School, where it runs into Pebble Beach Drive. I know, Rural is what we do here, so in my neighborhood I have shown you the drive in, the redwoods, the road to my house, and the beach.
I love looking at the neighborhoods of those of you who live in the city, or the desert. There is so much in this world that is beautiful and I am loving the way that people here share the beauty they find and make the world show a face we miss when we only watch the news.
@gnilrets Funny you noticed the cows. I used to hear all cows laying down meant upcoming rain. I wonder if that is true?
Dixie...this looks like such a great place to live! Gorgeous!
@mrssmith funny, because I never thought of Indiana having anything in common with here, never actually thought of Indiana much at all, but your barn/covered bridge pictures could all fit right in here.
Was so busy when I first saw this I did not get a chance to respond, I think, Dixie. If I did, forgive me posting again! When I see a group of cows lying down, my first thought is always ". . there is a herd of cows who are full and content". I had not heard of the saying that "all cows lying down means rain is coming". I will have to pay attention to that and see if it proves true! So many of the old folk sayings had at least some truth to them!
Love the whole rural scene ... it is much like we have around us here also. I love looking at city scenes. BUT small-town and rural is where I want to live. This is gorgeous and serene. FAV.
Lovely rural scene. To me the country exemplifies peace and beauty in the simplest form. I would love to wake up to roosters crowing, cattle grazing and a horse or 2 to ride ;-)
I wish my road ended at the beach! But I'm glad that it's at least surrounded by trees. As for the cows, I'd say that about 40% of the time around here it rains when the cows lie down. But is that because the cows know it's going to rain, or are they just tired of standing? This could be the start of another, "Why did the chicken cross the road?" joke!
