tree 2013

“...freshly cut Christmas trees smelling of stars and snow and pine resin - inhale deeply and fill your soul with wintry night...”
― John Geddes, A Familiar Rain

The tree going up yesterday, looks so much like every tree we have had for the last 16 years I sometimes think we might as well have an atrificial tree but I love the smell of fresh nobles
Great photo. I love the smell of a fresh tree.

your tree looks so perfect! on my first Christmas here in canada, i had a real Christmas tree, all decked with gold and burgundy ribbons. but i feel bad discarding the tree so after that i just used centrepieces or poinsetta. when the grandsons were little, we bought a fake tree. i don't think i'll put it up this year although we're supposed to have the boys before Christmas. i'll just be cooking for them.

We went to a fake tree several years ago. I sure miss that smell

It's gotta be a real tree. You can't imitate the smell of fresh evergreen. (o:

I love the smell of fresh trees. Yours is so pretty! All my life we've always had a fresh tree, but finally about 10 yrs ago after the prices went up sky high, we decided on an artificial tree accompanied by Yankee Candle pine scents :-)

Our landlord won't let his renters have real trees, so I have to take the fake tree/Yankee Candle route too. My parents always have two fresh trees at their house, so when we arrive for Christmas, I go stick my head in one of the trees and get my "fix."
