Three years ago the tsunami destroyed out harbor. It just had the ribbon cutting ceremony opening a new and hopefully tsunami safe harbor. However no-one can convince the seals and sealions that they should get off the sidewalks they took over when the docks were gone.

you soak up sun and heat
and when you slide beneath the waves
you carry both with you
you flash and dart
like a missile
as streamlined
and as hot
and deadly to your prey
although you look like you are not
@sarasdadandmom yeah they are, only the walrus and the elephant seals are bigger than the stellar sea lions. Average male adult is 1,199 pounds but they get up to 2,240. And they are fast and their teeth are like a wolfs and yet people ignore the law and pose their kids next to them.
Too funny. They made themselves a new home. Good for them, they are smart and huge. Nice shot, looks a bit foggy there and cool. It is an opposite problem from the SF docks where the sea lions are on the docks and the boats cannot use that area as they have taken over.
