but come the spring the tree we hadn't yet gotten rid of, because I loved the woodpeckers and flickers drilling in its rotten, bug filled trunk - suddenly showed signs of being "Wick" which maybe only lovers of, "The Secret Garden" will understand
maybe you need to replant a portion of it to make for a new tree. it doesn't seem to want to die entirely. that is just awesome!

@summerfield no, these are eight years old and it is still going strong. I'm using this extra album this month to show the whole 19 years I've known this tree. I think it fell hard enough that the branches that were driven in the ground rooted,

You have to love the resilience of nature! We have a tree in the front yard that for all practical purposes should be dead also. But it's sprouting leaves and keeping the front of the house shaded from the afternoon sun. Jeff wants to cut it down all the way but I won't let him!
