Cuerden Hall by pcoulson

Cuerden Hall

Cuerden Hall near Leyland in Lancashire.
Designed by Lewis Wyatt for Robert Townley-Parker member of Parliament for Preston, it stands in 139 acres of parkland and was completed in 1819.
The building is now used by the Sue Ryder foundation as the Neurological Care Hospice for the terminally ill.
Beautiful structure, love the comp, lighting and textures. Nice historical building!!

Wonderful building Peter. What was its use originally ?Have you got a straighten function in your camera processing software? Your building is leaning to the right a little.

@peterlgrave will have to take issue with the tilting statement Peter, is an optical illusion because of the slope of the lawn and the building being lower at the left end, I have a level sight in my camera view finder and can also straighten it in Photoshop if required, take a copy of the image and check the vertical tower lines, I also thought the same and rechecked it during processing, the building was Mr R. Townley Parkers family home, thanks again for your comments Peter they are always appreciated:)

@pcoulson I thought the same as you Peter. It must be a lovely place to end your days, but I didn't like to mention it either.

@onewing @peterlgrave I have revisited the shot and its vertical perspective is spot on but its the horizontal perspective that makes it look wrong, I have played with it in Photoshop by changing the horizontal perspective and it looks better, as my school reports always said " try's hard but could do better", lol:)

@pcoulson Sorry Peter, wasn,t being picky but it was very noticeable and as am being told in my other challenges "you won,t improve your photography unless someone points out to you whats wrong if you haven,t seen it yourself."
(and its been suggested to me a few times already!!)
