Gatehouse by pcoulson

Gatehouse

Gatehouse to the old Fixby Hall, on the hills above Halifax, the hall still stands and is used for weddings and functions now owned by Fixby Golf Club, the golf club was founded in 1891 the course was laid out in the grounds by Tom Dunn a leading golf course architect in his day:)
Lovely lead in to the gatehouse along the winding road.

@stray_shooter Thank you Ron, possibly only in Britain would you play golf on a 125 year old golf course and find a communications tower next to the club house, note to self will try and get a shot of the hall next time:)

I love the stone walls but the narrow roads make it so hard to pull over when you see the perfect shot.

@bella_ss Thanks for your comments Sheralee, its frustrating at times you see a shot but can't stop, in this case there was a pull in back along the road:)
