A narrow boat in the lock and another being moored up waiting its turn to pass through. an image taken yesterday on the Huddersfield Board Canal at Turnpike road Lock No 5,
@onewing Thank you Babs for your comment after taking the shot I walked up and offered my assistance to the lady, this was flatly refused and she told me in no uncertain terms that she was not happy I photographed her, I showed her the live view and stated it was the overall scene not her I took, she still asked me to delete it, I was going to walk along to the lock to get the other boat but just turned and walked away:)
@quietpurplehaze Thank you Hazel I got quite a good shot of the dog as the boat passed by he didn't object at all to me taking his photograph, as for the lady I have no idea what the problem was as she only form a small part of the shot:)
i like how you've used the closest boat as a line to the one in the lock.. the beam then brings the eye to the 'misery' holding the rope (maybe that is why she was miserable) whereupon we are back at the first boat.. a great triangle Peter.. so much of interest on this visual journey.
well done to you for keeping your cool and walking off with your shot..
not many years ago i was in Dublin and took a photo of an actress - as filming for a TV show had taken place and filming in that location was ended for the day i took a shot justas 'wardrobe' were making repairs.
well, you would have thought i'd murdered someone.. the fuss they all made.. i told her to get a grip and walked away - with my shot..
i had no idea of what they were filming.. i've not had a TV in the house since 1990.. When i related the tale on Flickr i was rounded on.. folk thought i'd done wrong.. but..
i would do it again..
