Ouch

The Sailing boat had just crashed into the power boat as it came in to moor up at one of the jetties on lake Windermere
Ooh that brings back memories, I had a frightening experience sailing on Windermere years ago. I was on a yacht when it broached in a big gust, I was trying to release the spinnaker which had got stuck, and slid out under the guard rail. This was in the middle of December in the winter series. Then to add insult to injury I had speed craft zooming past me while the boat I was originally on was manoeuvring back to rescue me.

@yorkshirekiwi Thank you for your interesting comment Carol, now that would have been cold, frightening and not a pursuit for the lighthearted in winter:)

@walrus Thanks for finding the time to comment, brakes on water leave a lot to be desired on water:)

@onewing Thanks for your comment Babs, no damage the chap in the powerboat had his wife and two children in the boat ready to leave the mooring, he was very polite and took it very well, I just wonder what reaction he would have had if he was alone, lol:)
