Quarter Scale Red Arrow by pcoulson

Quarter Scale Red Arrow

At last nights model flying meeting we had a talk by John the owner, builder and flyer of this magnifiscent quarter scale BA Hawk T1 in the RAF Red Arrows Aerobatic Team colours, its powered by a jet engine, its radio controlled, also has retractable under carrage with fully working air brakes on each wheel, John said it was a challange to build but a dream to fly.
Fabulous shot of this beauty.

I don't understand what a jet engine is - but I commend his effort - and your photo - tho' I don't really understand how large it is.

A nice shot to capture this impressive model! This is a world I don't understand, but I'm impressed that John actually built this! (Great red too!)

@anniesue Thank you Annie-Sue, for your interesting comment, the model aircraft has a length of 3m and a wingspan of 2.34m, a jet engine discharges fast-moving heated gas that generates thrust by jet propulsion out of the back of the engine. as used on jetfighters, jumbojets ect:)

@pcoulson thank you Peter - I will actually do a little extra reading around jet engines (amazing to be so ignorant!). 3m long - that will take a bit of effort to transport!
