Stage 2 Tour de France 2014

Stage 2 York to Sheffield yes it started in England this year rider Cedric Pineau of the FDJ France team taken on the Woodhead Pass in Derbyshire.

@onewing Thank you Babs, picked my spot as the riders were climbing a hill, thousands of people tuned up to watch at the same area in the middle of nowhere, 4 hours later the riders shot through at about 60 kmh no time for mistakes,

@lilminimonka Thanks Brianna, that was exactly what I was after, they all passed by very close 28mm focal length used not much time to get the shot they just wizzed by;)

Great motion capture Peter. See, you are a natural at the action shots! I was surprised that the shutter speed was only 1/200. Next up, some Formula 1 shots!

@stray_shooter Thanks for your lovely comments Ron, went for 1/200 and panned the camera, the idea rider in sharp focus and the onlookers visible but blurred to show movement, focal length was only 28mm, as I was so close to the riders, guessed all the settings before they arrived, got some great shots, next fast action shots MOTGP Silverstone end of August;)
