Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly

Lovely warm day today very surprised to find butterflies in the hedgerow, this one on a thistle, look closely there is another insect on the other one.

Beautiful tortoiseshell butterfly Peter. Such lovely colours. Is it a little moth on the other flower?

Beautiful capture and excellent detail. I still can't get a decent picture of a butterfly, they always fly off or close their wings whenever I get close. Maybe one day.
Love how the tiny moth is trying to get in the picture too.
