@casablanca That's a fair distance, especially all loaded up. Best of luck to them. No matter what the distance, it's always the last two miles of the day when the maps lie to you!
@peadar Ha ha, so true! I remember hiking the Kerry Way up in the mountains in southern Ireland about 20 years ago. It was definitely those last couple of miles when the map made no sense with what was on the ground! We discovered other people do these things by sending their luggage on each day. We always thought that was cheating and carried it all! Mine weighed 24lb in the morning and 20lb by the evening, the difference being water!
@casablanca Just looked up the Kerry Way; that's a serious endeavour, especially with 24lb on your back. And people sending their luggage on - definitely cheating.
