Smelly band

For the mundane elastic band challenge.

These were remarkably pungent, especially close up! My wife hails from Dublin and calls these onions "scallions". I have only ever known them as "spring onions". Any other offers?

Good idea for the mundane challenge. I have heard spring onions called scallions in the North of England, although we never did in our part of West Yorkshire

Yes spring onions, although I have seen some shops call them salad onions.

"Green onions" here, though I learned the term "scallion" as an adult from cooking magazines. Nice close up.

When we lived in Dublin, they called them Scallions, which I thought was a marvellous name :) Spring Onions is the only other thing I have ever heard them called. So so strong in aroma but oh so tasty! I am with @laroque - the elastic band is the star!
