Well, after weeks of trying to get a goldfinch, here we are. I was so excited I jumped up and down a million times, then realised this was a completely stupid way for a grown up to act, so just placed the camera back in the bag and went to work. But I was pleased...
As always - if you do have the time, view large, it's worth it...
lololol isn't it funny the way we react when we get that shot :-) Beautiful shot, Peter. He looks like such an inquisitive little chappie and his colouring is beautiful! Well done!!! :-)
Not stupid way to act at all, I came close to doing cartwheels, when I caught that owl in flight!!!
You should have been jumping up & down, this is a beautiful shot, caugh in a lovely setting!!
@allisonrap Thanks, Allison, they are beautiful birds. @_amyd_ Thanks, Amy @lizzy_lu123 Thank you, Lisa @tobi Thanks, Santina @paddleandsnap Lynne, very reassuring, Miriam certainly thought I had a screw loose!
Great shot! He looks almost ready to fly off again. I've been trying for ages to get a good shot if the blue tits in my garden but no such luck as yet!
@cuelight Tash, thank you. Goldfinches don't hang around, it's taken me ages to get this, but worth waiting for, I hope. Blue tits are pretty quick as well. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll get a good shot in the end!
Awesome shot, Peter! Our goldfinches are not nearly as colourful. I've been known to jump up and down and run around like a madwoman all because of a little bird at our backyard feeders. Never mind actually getting a photo of him. Well done!
