Ok, so we travelled overnight from London to Johannesburg, then caught a local flight up to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We then transferred to a minibus for the 2.5 hour drive down to Sikumi Tree Lodge, which is located adjacent to Hwange National Park.
As we arrived (exhausted, after 24 hours travelling), a herd of elephant very obligingly wandered by the waterhole which is located just a few metres from the lodge encampment. They stayed for a few hours and certainly got the holiday off to a good start!
@jonesp Thank you, Paul! It is rather strange, but the thought of 365 in the background has really kept me on my toes in terms of thinking about the shot. So, it must be working?
@fannyb Thanks, Fanny, there were a lot of elephants! @lizzy_lu123 Thank you so much, Lisa. @carmel Well, thank you, Ariel, and for the follow. I thought you had finished your project? @positivemoments Thank you, Tracy. @kimcrisp Thank you, Kim. @gerry Gerry, it was great, no planes I'm afraid, apart from the ones we flew in! @lauriesalzler Thanks, Laurie. @jenniferruge Thank you, Jennifer.
Yes - I'm just uploading as and when these days. I'm not committing to another year or to doing it daily, and I won't be able to respond to everyone individually, but I don't want to stop altogether - not while it's fun, and not now that I've just bought a new camera...
@lizzy_lu123 Thank you so much, Lisa.
