A variation on a theme. I was a bit stuck for inspiration today, and then spotted the coloured pencils I used in an earlier shot. Abracadabra, and here we are.
What is the collective noun for pencils, anyway? A cadre of pencils, a lead of pencils, a colour of pencils, a row of pencils...
Ha, Fanny @fannyb - I thought you were kidding! Who would have thought "a flack of pencils"!? Anyway, Peter, all I knew is that it was not a "gaggle" since that's only geese! ;-> fun shot. . .
Love it! Bright and just perfect in composition and focus! I like your ideas on the collective noun Peter. I was thinking of a shaving of pencils! but really being a user of mixed collectives, anything goes. @lyno I think gaggle of pencils works - we love gaggle our house, it's not just used for geese ;-)

Thanks.
@fannyb Flack!!! That's a really strange noun, I'll have to look up the etymology. Thanks for the comment.
