Cyprus - Day 12 - we had plans for more exploring today but our hire care broke down about 20 minutes from where we were staying. We waited two hours on a petrol station forecourt for assistance, during which time we were befriended by the very friendly family who managed it. At some stage a battered old pick-up truck stopped to refuel, and the driver sold us some of his fresh crop of bananas. As this was the most positive thing that happened today, I thought the bananas deserved an outing on 365!!!
Thank you for all your lovely comments recently. Once I have caught up, I will start repaying the compliment, I promise.
All the best things happen when disaster happens//////////////oh lucky you had the best experience in india when my passport and money was stolen and joyous expereience in southAfrica when the car broke down.....
@fannyb Fanny, yes, it's all about how you deal with this stuff, isn't it? The bananas were fantastic, so fresh, and we learnt so much from the family who owned the petrol station. In a way, it was one of the most interesting days...
