Inspired by many similar shots here on 365, here's my take on it. This low-key type of image is another tick off the list, in this last few weeks of my project.
Many thanks for all your recent comments and support. Very much appreciated.
Great composition, love the negative space. Bringing light into darkness, you are. :) Good to see you get some stuff off your list - you're really not far from being done with (the first round of) 365 anymore! Wow. :) (I'm approaching the "100 more to go" milestone, woo!)
@fannyb Fanny, you are always so supportive. And yes, a big HURRAY for bassoon players, without us most music would sound really flat. I can recommend Bill Bailey's Guide to the Orchestra, apart from being just wonderfully funny, he has a great section on bassoons!
So, my friend, you joined even later than I! I'm glad to know that there are a few of us who will finish up after all that New Year's Day rush! This is really well done, Peter!
@mikichelle Thank you, Mikichelle. @kwind Thank you, appreciate your comments, always! @twocups Yes, it's a bit tough with the dark nights etc. But, hey, I am so looking forward to the lack of stress!
Great low key image..... I am very envious of your new camera, the image quality is so crisp and sharp. Do you think you can just switch off the 365,engine though when your time comes... It seems to get into everyone's blood like a drug and they can't escape !
You don't sound like your enjoying yourself... perhaps you should ditch the list and just have fun taking photos of whatever you like! This is a beautful photo, one to be really proud of, as many have said before me. Any burned fingers? :)
@takeonlyphotos Vic, there are times when the ideas are popping and other times when every picture is a grind. January seems to be more the latter than the former. Long days at work, arriving home in the dark etc. Anyway, I'm still enjoying it :-)
Nice capture Peter, it certainly makes me want to try, was someone holding the match, did you manage to do this quickly or were there several match sticks. Questions, questions!
@takeonlyphotos No fingers were damaged in the making of this production :-) @elaine55 Elaine, I got into a bit of a twist as I was holding the match and viewing through the viewfinder and pressing the shutter! I went through quite a few matches before I got the shot I wanted.
@lucyk Thank you, Lucy!
@soboy5 Thanks, Danny!
@ruthmouch Thanks, Ruth, appreciate that!
@rosiekind Thank you, Rosie!
@karoliinal Well, thank you!
@kwind Thank you, appreciate your comments, always!

@lyno Thank you, Lyn. You are always so kind and such an inspiration!
@cbawernsen Corine, well thank you, much appreciate the comment!
