and finding it a bit frustrating. It's been over four years since I attempted drawing and the last few days of trying to regain perspective and perception have been a challenge. It's not like riding a bike ~ especially for a non-artistic, left brain favoring individual like myself. But, my goal is to draw something, decent or not, to post for the remainder of the still life theme week in hopes of finding the long lost "zone". Actually, I don't think I ever had a "zone" drawing experience. I'll settle for more pleasure than frustration. :)
I can't believe you think you're 'non-artistic'! This is fantastic. That pear looks so real it took me a moment to realise it's not. Keep going, Peggy, love to see your drawing and it must be so therapeutic and rewarding for you.
I'm with FaerieMoon Peggy! I can't even draw a stick person, so your "non-artistic" attempt looks very artistic to me. I think it is beautiful, and the way you set everything up for your photo is beautiful too. Like I said yesterday, I really think that you have "the eye" for art. Be sure to keep everything you do. All of the little Harpers in your life are going to want something that Grandma made!
Peggy, thank you for your comments on my 'handsome bloke of a son'; all the compliments will go to his head, I fear! But he is a good bloke for doing the modelling stint so willingly!
That pear is fantastic!! It really looks 3 dimensional, you've done a great job with that.
I wish I could draw again.....I used to do lovely drawings when I was at art school 24 years ago (yikes that makes me feel old!)......one day, though right now I am following another passion....note to self, drawing is for later!
