These guys started gathering near our cabin at the lake as we were packing up to leave. I think they were waiting to attack the turkey carcass in the trash or something. They were kind of creeping me out...there were dozens of them hanging out in the trees.

Robin ~ I felt like I was in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Very creepy.
Constance ~ I missed a shot where three of them had their wings fully extended.
Heba ~ Wild and a little spooky. :)
John ~ Vultures aren't my favorite photo subject! Especially after I found out their primary defense mechanism is projectile vomiting of whatever gross carrion they've recently ingested. I made sure not to get too close. :)
Joe ~ that's a true Carolina blue sky. :)
I think they look cool, and how much do you want to bet that someone has left food out for them in the past, and it's a habit for them. My goofy mom put the turkey carcass in her bird bath because someone told her that the birds like to eat it. It looks ridiculous. I told her that the bears would probably like it too!!
WOw....great shot of big creepy birds, especially the one with his wings spread! :) I like the stark contrast of the dark birds & limbs against the pretty blue sky!
