It's Snowing! by peggysirk

It's Snowing!

I know this isn't much for all of you measuring your snowfall in feet. But here in the South any snowfall is an exciting event!! Couldn't capture any flakes falling so I took a shot of it on the roof. And I enlarged a few flakes for closer inspection and visual effect. :)
I think the composition's just beautiful! :)
This may seem like a stupid question, but do snowflakes really look like that? The patterns, I mean? Haha! I've never seen snow, so I really don't know. :)

@_juliarichards Thanks, Julia! To the eye, snow flakes all look like pretty much the same ice flakes...under a microscope you can see the very intricate and individual patterns. I hope you get to experience snow some day...at least once. :)

Oh! That's very cool. :D Yeah, I would LOVE to. I might be able to in Switzerland, I just don't know when (I have relatives there). :)
Thank you for answering my query, Peggy!

O.K. so you have snow in the south...but up here in OH we really don't call that snow...it's just a little dandruff...

That's a lovely shot, Peggy, and it does look wintry to me, living here in the tropical heat.

Heehee, yes, they do get excited in NC when the snow falls!! We had a bit today--not enough for a snowman though. Maybe a snow baby

Beautiful picture Peggy. I heard that NC was having some pretty dramatic weather (for NC). My mom was trying to call my sister in Shelby all morning and couldn't get through. I assume they were having some issues with ice.
