Turf War by peggysirk

Turf War

This is not my sign nor was it directed at me. Just something I saw in the neighborhood last week. Sorry, it's Monday...tomorrow will be better. :)
LOL. Oh my...

OMG this is what I have been dying to put up in my yard but haven't dared! Good for them :) Too bad it REQUIRES a sign to inform the neighbors . . .
February 7th, 2011
I LOVE IT!!!
February 7th, 2011
LOL - too funny.
February 7th, 2011
Ha, I guess they are hoping this will get the message across to the dog owners.
February 7th, 2011
I absolutely LOVE it!!! Looks like something I'd do!
February 7th, 2011
This is a great find Peggy!
February 7th, 2011
That is great! Why can't people pick up after themselves. Or in this case after their dog. Lol.
February 7th, 2011
This is great, I would so love to put this up in the campgrounds.

I have a similar problem in my neighborhood and since I don't own a dog, I know the stuff isn't from my family!
Anyone looking to have signs made - vista print does a great job and they are inexpensive and quick!
February 8th, 2011
HA! love it...
February 8th, 2011
I like it...it's an important message to get across...some plastic bags stapled on the sign would be a good idea also...
February 8th, 2011
That's hilarious! Well-spotted. I'm sure the poor signwriter doesn't think it's funny, though. Hope they got the message across!
February 8th, 2011
That's one way to get it picked up!....or to get toilet papered at 3 am...
February 8th, 2011
February 8th, 2011
Ha! OMG that's too funny, I hope it works because it's not all that funny if it's left in your yard! This is such a hilarious shot...thanks for the laugh Peggy! :)
February 8th, 2011
Man! That's gutsy! That is so irritating when that happens. Hopefully it gets the message across and thing sare smoother!
February 8th, 2011
that's hilarious!! they should maybe think about getting a "no pooping zone" sign while they're at it!!
February 8th, 2011
Love it - and the title!. I wonder what effect it will have
February 8th, 2011
Great shot. How sad it is that it has to be put up to make someone act responsibly.
February 8th, 2011
LOL This is great!
February 8th, 2011
I'm going to get one for our grass verge!!!
February 8th, 2011
wonder why people need to be told to pick up.
i like this photo somehow...
February 8th, 2011
I'm a dog lover/owner and it drives me nuts when people don't pickup after their dogs. That said though, these signs kill me. There are several in my neighborhood and I was going to make a collage of them all. Can't imagine a pile of poop on my lawn a few times a year is more of an eye sore than a cast iron dog silhouette In pooping stance with a big red circle and slash thru it staked in my grass year around, but that's just me. :)

@lintbrush
That's pretty much the way I see things, too, Matt. :)
February 8th, 2011
I can totally relate to this sign! Good for them. :) People do this to our yard too. Not cool at all.
February 8th, 2011
funny if i wrote one of them i would have to mention cows not dogs....
February 8th, 2011
Great I love the bold "To Our incredibly rude neighbour"!
February 8th, 2011
Wow--somebody is mad! Hopefully the sign will work!
February 8th, 2011
Wow, good message!
February 8th, 2011
I have a dog and I always clean up after him...it's really rude to do that to your neighbors....we have one in our neighborhood too....everyone I guess does! :(
February 8th, 2011
That is funny and to the point. I was sure you were not involved.
February 8th, 2011
Love it! I have a dog, but make sure to clean up her business!
February 8th, 2011
lol ... the double barrel shotgun is next ...
February 8th, 2011
Peggy - isn't 365 *all* about what we see every day? Good catch.
February 8th, 2011
Ooh not nice,we have stray doggy that likes to go in our neighbours garden, ive saw her often chasing the doggy away x
February 8th, 2011
Hey - that's great - sometimes it's the only way to have your neighbors get responsible.
February 8th, 2011
Love it!
February 8th, 2011
lol, what a great sign!
February 9th, 2011
Rhu
Haha, i think that's a great choice!
February 9th, 2011
This made me laugh Peggy, I made some twisted bread sticks and I accidentally burnt them. I was thinking they would make for a good joke when people come over... you know... just to place them around randomly. Now I know I can "safely" place them in my less desirable neighbors yard! lol...just for fun of course!!

@grace4ministry
Now that's too funny! We did something similar several years ago when my oldest daughter's boyfriend at the time was coming over for the first time...just to see how he handled our sometimes off the wall silliness. He passed the test. :)
February 9th, 2011
lol.... well I am trying to figure out what to shot today! ha! don't push me! ha ha! I have been holding back on this one and I may just do it... I guess now would be the opportune time!! hehehe!
February 9th, 2011
I saw this and just died laughing!! I'm a big poop picker upper, so I guess I can laugh about it. If I had someone's dog leaving poo in my yard, I wouldn't be happy either. Yuck! When we first got Brutus and were at the lake, we still walked down the dirt road through the woods with a bag. Our neighbors thought we were nuts, but from what I've read, I don't want it washing in to the lake. Although, I guess there are cows and horses around there too. Probably not much different!!
February 9th, 2011
Peggy - 43 comments. You certainly found a hot-button issue with this shot. Good going.
February 9th, 2011
@evadavis
Seriously, Eva! I thought it might be either politically charged or of no interest at all and almost didn't post it. But, the fact that a dog poop sign has received more comments than just about any other photo I've ever posted confirms the fact that I NEED photography lessons! :)
February 9th, 2011
Peggy I posted to my page and added a link here for clairfication! If this is a problem at all let me know and I will remove! ha.... http://365project.org/grace4ministry/365
February 10th, 2011
that is funny!!!
February 11th, 2011
Ha ha! My grandmother used to wander round the local neighbourhood with a large piece of chalk. She's draw a bit outline round them with slogans like 'this is not a public toilet' and 'how about i cr*p on your house'. Fun lady.
February 11th, 2011
Goodness.... that's fairly direct!!!
