Daffodils and Old Paint by peggysirk

Daffodils and Old Paint

I just liked the look of this brick wall with it's peeling paint.
It was a perfect almost spring day today ~ 75 degrees (23 C). Took a long walk and a zillion shots, but decided to go with the old paint photo. I can relate to the wear and tear of age. :)
I like it too!!! Very cool!

sniff-sniff....I'm convinced it's never going to be spring here.....oh sorry Peggy. Just feeling sorry for myself here in freezing cold MN. Your photo reminds me of all that is NOT here. I'm so ready for this!

I love the contrast in this photo--well done, perfect composition. Lol, old age--yeah, but we know nothing of that, of course!

This is great..love the peeling paint and contrast with the beautiful daffodils...really good shot!

Beautiful, Peggy. Yes, the peeling paint and drooping daffodils are picturesque in themselves. Also like the spot of graffiti on that top brick!

Love the texture!!

I really like the texture of the peeling paint too. It kind of goes along with the slightly drooping daffodils. They're so beautiful, yet starting to get a little sad. Lovely picture Peggy! Are you having any relief from your relapse?

Feeling much better mentally...physically, I'm coming around. Got my yoga mat out a few days ago for the first time in weeks. Yoga and meditation (and medication, :>) seem to be helping me make a come back. I'm determined to get off this chemo crap. Nasty stuff. :) Thanks for asking, Sheri. Hope you are feeling well...headaches??

Really nice composition. I think my daffies are coming out....but not flowering yet...hope it warms up substantially this week so it can happen.

Love the old paint. Still holding out hope for an early Spring here :)

You should definitely visit Boston again! We walked around the city for four hours and never got bored. Of course, I definitely picked the wrong month to quit sugar because the cannolis were calling my name!

Lovely shot! I am so jealous of your Spring weather. Enjoy it.
March 14th, 2011

That's not wear and tear Peggy it's character and life experience :0). Love the composition and the detail is great - fancy daffs too. Glad you're feeling better - the drugs are not nice - you're very cheerful in the face of adversity!!
