Something mistook my little buddy for a chocolate bunny. Our lovely Easter Sunday took a downhill turn when Scrappy came home minus part of his ear. He was on the losing end of a Sunday afternoon street fight. I'm pleased to report that he's all cleaned up, medicated and appears to be fine now...although he'll never look quite the same again.
@girlie@jennlouise Thanks, Robin and Jennie. I think Scrappy has used up his nine freebies and is working on borrowed lives at this point. He's been a semi-feral, gangster cat for 11 years. :)
Oh, my!! Poor, poor baby!! I'm between laughing about your mistaken identity comment and feeling so sad for him! Glad he's ok, and hopefully will stay out of anymore trouble! Great shot!
awww, Precious Baby! That's heart-breaking! Both my guys have been "notched", but this is to the extreme! Stay attentive to medicating it, and I hope this is the worst of it. ...it really pains me to see what he had to go through!
Oh Peggy, that's just so sad. Poor Scrappy!! I thought the Mikee Tyson comment above was pretty funny!! Thank you for all of your sweet comments. Don is seven years older than I am, so thankfully he was old enough and all settled down to maintain our family too. We had the two boys in the first three years, and Ashley three years later, so it was a busy house hold. I was slightly high all weekend, but I was able to have a really great time with the kids. My doctor was very nice about understanding that I needed to be able to "feel" good! I wish she would have given me a months worth of meds! I'm a little curious about the botox, but I have had so many other procedures done, and all I have left prior to surgery is the botox, and another procedure where they go in and laser the nerves, killing them so they don't hurt. The botox seemed like the lesser of the two evils. I have two discs that are bulging, and I must have done something in the last month to irritate the muscles again. I'm also doing physical therapy to try to strengthen my neck. Well, OK. Enough on my saga!! Hope you are doing well my friend. I love love love that I get to see Harper on two profiles now. What a doll, and Molly has such a fun personality too. I am so happy for you!!
Poor thing!! At least he came home though!! We have coyotes near us and were told not to let the cats out at all since they are a favorite snack of coyotes. I hope Scrappy is ok!!
Poor kitty! I LOVED reading your description and comments. He sounds like one tough kitty... He reminds me of my 3 year old. She will start a fight and take down (make cry) anyone in our house that does her wrong.
Oh my goodness! Poor little Scrappy! He really is living up to his name here! I can't help but laugh though at your comment about someone mistaking him for a chocolate easter bunny because from the thumbnail that is what I thought it was a picture of! Ok, laughing stopped, in all seriousness I am just so happy Scrappy is ok! If it makes you feel any better, one night when I was a little kid, my kitty came home without a tail! But he survived and lived to be over 20 years old!! Hang in there Scrappy!!!! Hugs!!!
Poor Scrappy! I wonder what some of his other opponents look like LOL Glald he is OK Peggy, he must be a worry to you sometimes. At least you now he comes out on top.
Poor Scrappy! This reminds me of a local living history museum that has cats that live there, but feral cats keep turning up. They started notching the resident cats’ ears so they could tell which ones needed to be rounded up. But their notches aren’t as drastic as poor Scrappy’s! (I love his name!)
Thanks for the comment on my hivey picture. I actually do yoga almost every day and had a long meditation session on Friday and tried to open & balance all my chakras. My crown, solar plexus & naval chakras are really out of balance. I feel like I helped them clear a bit but more work is needed. I could probably use a long Reiki session too. I found that I had a horrendous headache the evening after meditation which tells me I was purging some ick. I plan to do more soon and get myself in check. Thanks for the support, sweetie!
poor little kitty
glad he has a good home
At least he came home to medication
