Lamenting the Race

We walked past this dejected cyclist on the way home from yesterday's Criterium. He was holding his head in both hands and looked rather despondent. I don't know if he had to drop out due to injury, mechanical issues, or a technicality. Tom asked him if he was alright and he responded. "Yeah, I'll be ok". Perhaps a phone call to mom would make him feel a little better. That's my segue into wishing everyone celebrating Mother's Day today a wonderful day!
Poor thing. Hope he's feeling better now. Nice moving capture!

Oh, that's so sad. Let me guess, you had Tom distract him by being nice so you could snap the photo!! No, I'm just teasing. I know you are too kind hearted. Hopefully it was just a minor short fall he will grow from.

Oh, poor guy. We were talking last night about a friend who does Ironman competions, he biked for 112 miles. I put 40 miles on my bike in a three day weekend and thought I had did so good.

Happy Mother's Day.

Poor guy - you never want to see anyone that upset about a loss. I love your perspective - he looks like he is trying to hide.

Thank you for your sweet Mother's Day sentiments. I hope yours was wonderful, too!

Competing can be tough but losing makes winning that much better. I really like your thought of calling mom. Happy belated Mother's day.
