@shadowdancer@spthorne@sarasdadandmom Thanks, ShadowDancer, Simon and Terry ~ I think that tragic day has been firmly etched into our collective consciousness. I find it difficult to believe ten years have gone by so quickly...it seems like such a short time ago ~
@peggysirk : Yes, collective consciousness indeed. I'm currently watching the ceremony on Ground Zero on cnn, and it's as emotional as it's been 10 years ago. The strange thing is that on tv, I have seen re-runs of the towers collapsing at least a hundred times, but every time, it's the same feeling of horror and disbelief. Guess that will never change, as long as I live...
Wonderful collage Peggy.
I was on a plane to London when the 1st plane crashed & Lee who i had not met yet.Texted me when i got off the plane to tell me.I met him for the 1st time a month later. Its also my nephews 10th bday today he was born 5 hours after the planes crashed x
I also find it hard to believe ten years have passed, seems like just the other day. I went to deliver a baby a short while later in a staunch muslim household and the mum voiced how anxious she was that I wouldn't come to her. I will always remember the peace and joy in that home as we denounced the the tragedy and injustice and laid out our hope for the innocent
