@lisjam1 Lisa ~ Scrappy was dumped in the parking lot of the bar when he was just a little guy. Barb, the bartender, started feeding him, taking him to the vet, had him neutered and chipped, and generally looked out for him. When we moved into the neighborhood many years later, he decided to adopt us as his second home. Barb moved to Hilton Head, SC a couple of years ago and asked if we would be his official caregivers. Tom and I were delighted to be owned by him. The only real challenge is getting him to the vet for his yearly check up/vaccinations. Half the time I have to reschedule the appt because I can't find him...and when I do, I have to wear leather gloves and a jacket when getting him in the cat carrier. :) He still loves to hang out at the bar and has been locked in overnight on more than one occasion. He falls asleep on his bar stool and gets overlooked. I know that when he doesn't show up for breakfast he's likely locked in the bar and will show up around 10 am when the cleaning crew arrives. He's a total character!
@peggysirk@lisjam1 Wow! This would make a great book! What an adventurous cat! I teared up reading his story. I am such a sucker for cats! Thanks, Lisa for introducing me to Scrappy!
