for my little overnight guest. Harper is spending the night tonight while her mommy and daddy enjoy a night out with friends and a Saturday morning of sleeping in. I think tonight Harper and I will pop in a movie..."Milo and Otis"...and eat Cheetos and Oreos. Have a fabulous Friday everyone! :)
Awww!! This grandparent 'stretching' of the rules sounds like a great perk! Hope mummy doesn't read your post and insist on carrot sticks and arithmetic before bed!!
@judithg Grandparenthood seriously alters one's viewpoints. As a former fitness instructor and nutrition/lifestyle counselor, I never imaged stocking up on 'junk' food and cookies. But this grammy even made chocolate pudding. Tsk tsk. :) As soon as Harper reaches an age of reason we'll discuss the nutritional value of apples, carrots, whole grains, etc. ;-)
@peggysirk One of my most affectionate memory of my grandad is that he always had a packed of chocolate 'Munchies' for us. My mum never bought us anything like that. You could discuss the merits of fruit but still provide the chocolate pud!!
Sigh. Sounds like heaven. My 88 yr old mother and I were just discussing the merits of Milo and Otis, and I have to root out my tape for a mom and daughter night. My kids got jelly beans and shrimp cocktail from their other grandma. And all night movie-thons. ENJOY!!
Ah, so sweet! I love that movie so much! My most cherished and favorite memories are of my sleepovers at my memere's house. Harper will remember these special moments forever! Enjoy your fun night!!
