The Show Is Over by peggysirk

The Show Is Over

and this summer stock performer is looking spent and bedraggled.
Posting early so I can take care of business and be ready to catch tee offs and kick offs for the rest of the day. Hope everyone has a fantastic Saturday!

Three good things:
1. The sound of rainfall as I was going to sleep last night.
2. Ryder Cup golf AND college football on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
3. The first cup of morning coffee (w/ cream)...the second cup isn't bad either. :)
Sounds like the perfect start of the day. I've been thinking about you while listening to the Ryder Cup. It's all a bit confusing with this alternate shots business - like playing crazy golf with my dad - but it's fun listening to the crowd and wondering just how early in the process somebody will shout 'Get in the hole'!

I bet these looked even more wonderful in full bloom - but the brown is quite a rich pretty shade. Enjoy your day!

This is really beautiful Peggy you have caught such great textures & colours here together with stunning DOF. Such unusual shaped leaves? I am enjoying the Ryder Cup too but wish our team would buck up a little, on the other hand Bubba & Co are playing fabulous golf! Don't understand the half shot though!!!

@happypat @judithg I know what you mean, Pat and Judith. I'm constantly having to ask Tom about the various Ryder Cup play formats and the scoring. But I totally understand the competition and enthusiastic galleries. Ryder Cup golf is so fun!

You've really rocked the remnants theme this week, Peggy! Love this one, too. They have their own beauty even at their end.

I love the spent and bedraggled look of the oakleaf hydrangea.
