at the Lazy 5 Ranch. We all had a wonderful time on our little foray into the countryside yesterday. It was a spectacular October day and a beautiful location. Harper is an absolute lover of animals and seemed to enjoy getting to know some new friends.
Three good things:
1. Staying snuggled in bed later than usual enjoying a fantastic morning thunderstorm
2. The smell of pot roast cooking in the oven on a cool fall day
3. A lazy Sunday in October :)
Oh I'm on my way over Peggy - those three good things sound marvellous! And a morning thunderstorm must be pretty unusual?? We don't have many at any time of day so I'm no expert, but that seems odd. That's such a cute shot - And either Harper has grown or that's a small donkey!
@judithg A window rattling thunderstorm this time of year is very unusual...the result of a strong cold front that has dropped temps drastically from yesterday's high of 80 (26ishC) to a high of 59 (15C) today. Good pot roast weather. Harper is a bit of a shrimp at 33 inches which gives you an idea of the size that little donkey. S/he was a shrimp too. :)
How Harpers hair has grown Peggy, such a lovely colour too! She is a friendly little soul , love those cute little legs! Pot roast weather & I can smell it cooking now!!! Lots to be said for colder days!!
@happypat I am dying to braid Harper's hair, Pat...but there's no getting her to sit still long enough for that. When it's left up to me it's a success to get a brush through it a couple of times and a quick ponytail. :)
