Late Bloomer

Thank goodness there are a few hangers-on in the garden, otherwise it would have been a filler from the photo files for today.

Three good things:

1. Harper hugs
2. A beautiful October day
3. No presidential debate tonight ~ I'm about politicked out...at least until Monday. :)
This is a lovely flower & shot . I have been so into the debates ... I did not like the set up of the last one ... Kinda cheesy if you ask me :)

@jquinn I actually love politics and have looked forward to the debates. But I'm starting to feel just a bit campaign rhetoric weary. I'll be glad when November 6 rolls around. We can each have our say in the voting booth and be done with it.

So do I , so do I even though we are on this side of the water your elections make big news over here! Lovely rose Peggy & I love the shadow rose in the back. Love your Harper hugs I have just sent a huggy card to Max today !

Peggy, I love this rose shot - because the rose itself is so pretty, and because of the other rose in the background. Such a clever way to showcase your flowers!!! As far as politics, I was raised to not say bad things about others, so no matter who the candidate is, he/she is likely to rub me the wrong way if he/she badmouths the opposition. Same about promises...if you don't uphold them, then you are lying. Sigh - just let me choose the lesser of two evils and be done with it.

Lonely little guy, wants to keep its beauty forever, don't we all.

@bpaquette I agree, Barbara. I've always been a political junkie and love a good discussion about current affairs and issues. But this campaign is contentious to the point of becoming a turn off...not to mention the fact that I'm sick of hearing the same vague talking points from both candidates.

Fav Peggy - gorgeous!! Your elections would be better I suspect if you knew that the 'chosen one' was actually capable of enacting their promises without being thwarted at every turn. Ours just forget everything useful they promised to do in the light of the coffers being empty and fill their time meddling with things that weren't in need of change. Still - we must all be glad we are not trying to survive in Greece/Italy/Spain/Portugal.

Oh, thanks for the fav, Judith!!
The political scene over here seems to go on forever...with the party primaries and then the general election campaigning. After almost 24 months of rancorous squabbling between candidates, I've just about OD'd on politics. I'm ready to vote and have everyone take a deep breath till the next round. :)

What a beautiful rose and what a lovely shot. I won't mention the politics since you (and everyone else in the world, I suspect) have had entirely too much and certainly much more than we want or need. Just need to mention that Glynnis dedicated a lovely shot to you and me yesterday and can't see that you've visited it yet.

@girlie Thanks so much for pointing that out, Robin. I must have missed that one. Will go look for it now!
