Christmas at the Theater by peggysirk

Christmas at the Theater

A shot taken in front of the Belk Theater in Charlotte. I was hoping to get the entire impressive line of 8 ft tall nutcrackers, but there were too many people milling around so I had to settle for a single.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Wednesday before Christmas...six days and counting. :)

Three good things:
1. The performance of Cirque Dreams "Holidaze" was fabulous last night.
2. It is an unbelievable 65 degrees (18C) and sunny here in Charlotte, NC today.
3. Called my doctor this morning and requested a work-in appointment to have my knee attended to...he had me come right in, pulled out three drain pipe sized hypodermic syringes with pencil sized needles, and went to work doing an aspiration procedure. While that might not sound like a 'good' thing, to me it's a very good thing. I'll be able to continue walking... I was about to take up crawling. :) I'm very grateful for a caring, concerned doctor. He's also a very good amateur photographer.
Oh my word - you make that knee procedure sound appealing! Glad it did the trick - there's only so far you can go on your knees. I'm giving the gift of entertainment this year! And we're going to a very good Twelth Night on the 29th -at least I hope it will be very good....

So glad he fit you in and that you have some improvement!!! Is the fluid a result of RA? My daughter (with Crohn's) is developing RA symptoms and sees a rheumatologist in January. She is 26. It is too much for anybody's plate.

@bpaquette I just hate to hear that your daughter is showing signs of RA, Barbara. With autoimmune disorders it apparently isn't uncommon to develop two or more issues. And that is a lot for one to handle ~ especially when one is 26. RA is such a relentless and misunderstood disease. I'm glad to hear she has an appointment with a rheumatologist...early diagnosis and treatment is so important in keeping the worst of the disease in check if, in fact, that turns out to be the case. Please keep me posted on the outcome of her appointment. My hope is that RA is not her diagnosis but, if it turns out to be so, I would be more than willing to share my experiences and offer my support. psirk1512@gmail.com
Yes, knee stuff is RA related...a popliteal cyst that likes to give me a difficult time every once in a while. Much better now...and a great excuse to put my pj's on and get in bed early with my Kindle to recoup. :)

@peggysirk thanks!! A couple of my co-workers have gotten those cysts, miserable things. We stand for hours on hard floors which doesn't help!
