The Weather Outside is Frightful

Just lots of rain, no snow. I took this from my front porch, which is about as far as I intend to go today. A perfect day for adjusting to the post-Christmas Day quiet.

Three good things:
1. A simply wonderful Christmas
2. My daughter, Elizabeth, made it back to Atlanta before the stormy weather arrived... Although I wish she and her boyfriend, Jeff, were still here...
3. Starting on my New Year's resolution, a week early, to get back into shape. Now that I've made a 'public' statement maybe I'll be more inclined to follow through. :)

At least you don't have to shovel it! We are in for a doozy tonight. This rain becomes our snow. This shot is cool!!! A vortex!
I will start my goal to get back into shape after I finish the casseroles, the gingerbread, the sugar cookies, the liqueur-filled chocolates, the cranberry bread.....
