National Nothing Day by peggysirk

National Nothing Day

Today is apparently " Nothing Day". This is what I found out about this particular observance:
What: Nothing Day
When : Always January 16th
National Nothing Day is quite simply... a day for nothing.
This day is an "un-event". The expectation is that we do not create or otherwise promote this day. In other words, we do nothing. And, to say anything more would contradict the purpose of this day.
Celebrate this day by doing nothing.
Origin:
All that is known about this day, is that it was created in 1973 by newspaperman Harold Pullman Coffin.

Other than that, nothing is known about this day.
It would seem that these neighbors are celebrating the day by doing nothing about taking down the Christmas decorations. And I have nothing better for today's post. :)

Three good things:
1. After 48 hours of MIA, I found my phone. It was on a shelf in the pantry under a bag of Goldfish (crackers). ??? Where else would it have been? Should have looked there first. :)
2. Having my daughter, granddaughter, niece, nephew/godson, and former sister-in-law/always friend, for lunch today.
3. Going out for dinner tonight
*4. Possibility of snow in the forecast for tomorrow night! That's big excitement in the South. :)
* I promised 4 three good things yesterday.

Will be catching up with comments on your fabulous photos while I'm watching the Australian Open tennis into the wee hours.
Gee whiz, if I'd know that, I would have called in sick and stayed in bed! I always love your 'hood shots!

And I have nothing to comment. Well, except that I love your interpretation of the nothingness theme!
