Sunday Morning Breakfast by peggysirk

Sunday Morning Breakfast

This morning Tom and I walked over to a new little restaurant that opened around the corner for breakfast. I had a delicious Liège waffle...and their coffee was just as delicious. Welcome to the neighborhood little restaurant! :)

Three good things:
1. Liège waffles
2. Checking things off my to-do list
3. One more beautiful February day before the rain moves in for several days of winter greyness
that looks like a meal fit for a princess!
glad you got to enjoy it.
we are heading out now for breakfast with some of my children and my parents.
have a good day.

Are you certain there is a waffle under there. I think I will turn you into the weight watchers police for putting this picture of food porn on here, maybe there is a reward. I gained 3 pounds looking at this.

Breakfast out at a restaurant has to be the height of decadence Peggy, something the New Zealanders do but as far as I know practically unheard of in the UK....well in Lancashire anyway!!! What a lovely treat & waffles too...mmmmmmmmm!!!!

Oh heaven! I was craving waffles last week - and actually made some (from a mix - for shame) - and they were horrible - I actually threw them out (me! throw food out?!?!). Turns out the mix had expired in 2008! I like your waffles MUCH better!

What a scrummy looking breakfast. Love the fruit justifying consumption of the rather delicious looking other half (well the fruit looks delicious too!). @happypat We used to have a fantastic breakfast place up the road that specialised in waffles (though it was so busy it was lunch by the time they arrived) but it was owned and run my an American couple. I've got a little dream of resurrecting it near the river. It's even got a name thought of by Nigel ('Easy Oars' which is what you say when you tell rowers to stop) and it would do various breakfasts including 'Rower's', 'Cox's', 'Skuller's' etc. I'd have to get up VERY early to cover the rowing fraternity though.....

Sounds like a potential new career opportunity for you, @judithg ! You've got the perfect location and name all picked out...not to mention your own supply of fresh eggs for the breakfast menu. I promise I would fly over and be your first breakfast diner and I'd bring @happypat with me!! :)
