It Must Be Love

Scrappy (the cat) would not tolerate another living soul using him as a pillow or hugging on him ~ other than Harper. :)

Three good things:
1. A birthday lunch with Molly and Harper
2. An original hand-painted birthday card from my granddaughter...she was so proud when she handed it to me.
3. People who run toward a disaster, jumping over barricades, tearing off their shirts and jackets to use as tourniquets, with little regard to their own safety, in an effort to help those in need.
Beautiful - good old Scrappy. I do wonder on occasions like yesterday whether I would run towards or away. I'd like to think towards but it really does take a special bravery - especially when faced with horrific scenes - and I'm not sure I wouldn't end up running away. Very special people who go to the rescue.

Two of your favourite people Peggy & ours too! What a lot of pleasure our pets give us & good for the young to appreciate animals. He is a good boy. I always love what Harper is wearing , she has some really pretty clothes.
I have saved lots of my special hand written cards & believe me the older the sender gets the more precious they become!!
I agree with no.3 so much...sending our condolences to all in your country!

So precious, Peggy. I find our animals are so patient and so tolerant of the grandchildren. I'm sure Harper is kind and gentle so Scrappy knows a good snuggle is coming his way when she is around. Agree with number 3 - so many unsung heros.

Oh what a dreamy look!! Scrappy is a sweet fellow to be so accommodating.
1) whose birthday?
2) my mom makes me cards (on her computer!)
3) β€œWhen I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

@bpaquette :( My birthday-4/15.
I don't believe there was ever a kinder, gentler soul than Fred Rogers. I loved his calm, reassuring, and genuinely good influence on children, and really people of all ages. And it's so true about helpers bringing a bit of sanity and humanity to a chaotic and terrifying situation. I've always believed that one of our primary purposes in this world is to help elevate life in anyway that presents itself...big or small.
