Late Afternoon Shadows by peggysirk

Late Afternoon Shadows

At 4:30 I still had no photo for the day and time was ticking away. The stripes on the wall and clock face are shadows from the blinds.

Three good things:
1. A wonderfully stormy night last night
2. A beautiful June day today
3. Monday is almost over :)
I have a feeling in my mind you don't like Mondays Peggy so glad nearly Tuesday! A song comes to mind too!!
Blinds make some wonderful patterns on the walls , this is very evident here with this lovely old clock.

I love this Peggy. The shadows are amazing. I might of asked you this before, but what programme do you process in to get this painted effect? I thought you told me Picasa, but I can't find this effect there.

@suesmith Thanks, Sue ~ I edited this shot on PicMonkey (photo editing website) and used the 'sketchy' frame option to get the uneven edges.

@happypat Mondays aren't my favorite days, Pat. They are my chemo days...very low dose injections, just enough to make me feel somewhat punky, funky, and otherwise yucky. But it's nothing that Tuesdays can't cure. :)

@sarasdadandmom Thanks, Terry. Better late than never. I still have my new tires photo in reserve just in case I don't meet a daily deadline. :)

Can I tell you a secret, Peggy? I always post the yesterdays photo - taken on THAT day but posted the next day. That way I always have the whole day to organise a photo. It takes the pressure of trying to get one for that day. Do you get my reasoning? I love clocks like this and have one and now and then the light is good for the face - like you have here!

Love this photo, Peggy. . . . the lines, the shadows, the colors. So Mondays continue to be your difficult day? So sorry . .. glad it is almost Tuesday as I write this.

Oh, and I love that framing option. Must be an option for paying members of one of the processing sites?

Nice use of light Peggy, very pretty the way it all came together

@barbsmith It's PicMonkey, Barb. A good many of the options are free...but there is a yearly 'membership' fee for use of all the editing options. I think it's $29. It has pretty much the same set of editing tools that the old Picasa had.

@peggysirk Thanks, Peggy. I thought that's probably what it was.
