The sun put in a brief appearance this morning, so I grabbed my camera and headed out the door. It has been one of the wettest summers I can recall...other than one summer in Atlanta, I think it was 1995. The only reason I remember that wet summer is because I was team mom of my daughters' tennis team that year and I spent most of the summer squeegeeing off wet courts or on the phone rescheduling rained out matches.
Three good things:
1. Harper and Will spent the day with us ~ always a very good thing. :)
2. The Bryan brothers' win at Wimbledon
3. Walking to the sandwich shop with Harper and having her chatter away the entire time...so many wonderful questions and observations. :)
Love listening to a three year olds chat....so amusing & without any pretence or guile!
Lovely little buzzy bee there, I can see those wings going like the clappers!!!
Love this and the bug. Hope the sun stays for a while though maybe it's because you had a mild winter - my dad always say they balance out. Though last year our rain went on all year. We spent a fun train journey with a 3 year old - she was mightily entertaining especially her eccentric counting!
This is gorgeous Peggy! I love the little fly with his wings fluttering away too. Great capture!! I'm so glad that you have finally had a little break in the rain. Perfect for walking to the sandwich shop with an adorable little girl. Couldn't you just bottle them up at this age. So much enthusiasm and funny statements. :)
@jenrobcarr Thanks so much for the fav, Jennifer! Loved seeing your comment pop up...it's been too long since we've crossed paths! All is well here ~ hope the same is true for you!
@petersonsheri Thanks, Sheri!! And yes, I would love to bottle up my little 2 1/2 year old buddy. I know that in too short a time she'll reach the eye rolling stage...and much prefer the company of friends than Grammy. My heart is already breaking when I think about it, but I'll try not to take it personally when that time arrives. :)
