Down and Out on Luckie Street

I saw this desolate soul in downtown Atlanta. The fact that it had just started to rain made it an even sadder sight. Ironically this was on Luckie Street. I hope this guy's luck/situation has changed for the better since the day I snapped this shot.

Three good things:
1. Sunshine today...it could turn out to be a day without rain
2. Catching up with a neighbor I hadn't seen for a while
3. Painting interior trim and molding. And since Tom is out of town, I won't have to stop to cook supper. :)
nice three good things Peggy , yes it rather sad about People who have to live this way

Oh dear. A sad sight indeed. We've just had our first rain for weeks - now its really humid as well as hot but the terrible winter is still in our minds so no complaints really! (Though when we were on the fourth thunder storm last night....)

He looks well dressed & not too old so hope things have improved for him & it is only a temporary blip.
Some rain today here but still hot & humid...all indoor jobs like painting has gone by the wayside !!

We were so glad to GET rain last night and this morning. For having had the wettest year on record since 1894, it has been beastly dry the last few weeks. Next time we get heavy rains I shall bottle up all the water from the basement and save it for a dry spell for the plants! Looks like this poor fellow has bigger worries.

We only can appreciate what we have even more when we see things like this.
