Problems on the Set

After a rather lengthy photo session (it was probably about 10 minutes which translates to two hours to a kid ready to play) to get a family portrait for a Christmas card, Molly wanted me to get a few shots of Harper and Will together. Harper, despite negotiations from mommy, staged a photo shoot protest. I could only manage a few whiney faced and growly looking fake smile shots. I don't know how professionals deal with unwilling subjects. But I had Granddaddy with me...he saved the second half of the photo shoot from failure. I'll post the smile he charmed out of Harper tomorrow.

Three good things:
1. Grandfathers
2. Smiles
3. A warm fire on a very cold November morning
First of all - great title... And this is a lovely candid capture!

Oh my... this is hilarious. I bet it's difficult. Look forward to tomorrow's smiley one :)

That can really be a challenging task to complete.

Uh oh - at least Will hasn't learned to object yet. I remember taking ours to a pro photographer who got them all hyped up and excited and then promptly got irritated about them being hyped up and excited!

This is lovely Peggy. Harper's fed up face and sweet little Will sitting there all expectant in his cute hat make this an adorable shot. Look forward to seeing the next instalment tomorrow.

Look at Will sitting up so nicely!!!! Aren't you glad you have digital for this!?! I can remember staging the Christmas photo shoots, using 36 exposures - rushing to the drug store to drop them off, waiting a day or two to get the prints back (paying a fortune), then being ecstatic if we found ONE shot that everyone's eyes were open!

@bpaquette Even worse when you got the two prints for the price of one deal, Barbara...twice the number of awful shots. :)

It's a beautiful candid. I love Will's little cap! We have a few disastrous attempts at posed family portraits from when my kids were young. They're funny now, but not so much at the time!
