Three good things:
1. Daughter, Elizabeth, arrives tomorrow from ATL for a week long visit!
2. The first day of winter...and it's going to be 72 degrees (22C) today. Weird...but okay with me. :)
3. Beds for Kids...a wonderful charity in Charlotte that supplies beds - complete with pillows, sheets, blankets, and comforters - to children who have no bed to call their own. Too many children fall asleep at night on a pile of clothes on the floor, rather than 'nestled all snug in their beds'. Every kid should have a safe, warm bed. When I heard about Beds for Kids, it broke my heart wide open...
Your three good things inspires me each time i read them.
I tried this yesterday on my fb page and it made me have a good day.
I will certainly add another three things today.
No matter how ill my mum is there is always something to be thankful for.
thisi camrea fits so nicely on your tree.
have a wonderful time with your daughter. the charity is doing a wonderful thing.
I love your greeting and the clever ornament! That's a wonderful cause you're involved in. It's about 80-82 here after a few chilly evenings. Enjoy the rest of the Christmas season!
FAV for me, Peggy. i like the softness, especially the bulb on the right. your 3 things are always thought provoking. thanks for sharing. i can't say i can relate to the 72 degrees but generally i can usually feel where you're coming from on your nice things and i like that!
A very topical tree decoration Peggy, sounds like a full house at your place...lovely to see family that are away from you for most of the year.....have a great time.
So sad that there are children in this world that have to live like that & such a deserving charity. Your bed is a special place to you alone & not to have that space & comfort is heart breaking. I haven't heard of it in the UK, might google & see.
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family Peggy......you will have better things to do than sit at a computer so might not get another chance!
Very apt Xmas decoration! I do like the idea of beds for kids! Its hard to imagine! You can buy second hand beds for peanuts here - the students snap them up!
You will be in heaven Peggy - all the generations in Charlotte! That charity sounds great - there's a moving book called 'Where children sleep' that looks at inequalities - although some of those with most seemed to have least.
What a sweet and creative idea for a capture! A very Merry Christmas to you and yours! And I'm very interested to hear about Beds for Kids - I plan on checking my area to see if there's anything like it.
