Wolf Moon...Waning by peggysirk

Wolf Moon...Waning

I'm two days late getting a completely full January moon...the first full moon of winter. According to the Farmer's Almanac, the Wolf Moon's Native American name came from "the packs of hungry wolves that howled outside the villages in the cold and deep snows of winter". It was certainly cold last night when I quickly snapped this shot, but no snow...and no hungry wolves.

Three good things:
1. Delicious smells wafting through the neighborhood from the bakery down the street
2. The first cup of coffee in the morning
3. Being as genuinely happy for someone else's achievements or good fortune as you are for your own
Glad you explained about the Wolf Moon. Your shot is perfect and love how you caught those shadows to capture that eerie look. It was cold here today and is 32 degrees this AM.

PS I'm having my 1st cup now :-)

Very nicely done Peggy, and lucky for you the Wolfman was not out and about

Wonderful - I only see the full moon in the morning, as it rises from behind the mountain - too late to get a good pic.
