We got about an inch of snow overnight in Charlotte, NC...enough to make this miniature snowman. :) The excitement of snow was dampened by my daughter's harrowing commute with millions of others 230 miles away in Atlanta. It took her 7 hours to get home from work...normally a 35 minute trip. But at least she made it home as hundreds were stranded along interstates and secondary roads. What a mess!
Three good things:
1. Today is my husband's birthday.
2. Tom took a half day off from work for his birthday and was able to sleep in on a frigid, snowy morning.
3. The snow is starting to melt.
This is just adorable - so sorry to hear about your daughter and happy to hear that she finally got home safely! As I've said before - Ready for spring!
I heard about the road chaos - that's usually a British disease after an inch of snow. No fun at all - I can't imagine what that's like if you have children or old folks with you.
