Sunlit Guitar

Today's photo word of the day is 'music', in tribute to the late Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and JP Richardson who died in a plane crash 55 years ago ~ February 3, 1959...the day the music died. About all that I know about these pioneers of rock-n-roll is related to Don McLean's song, "American Pie". But I can appreciate the influence those artists had on musicians who followed.

Three good things:
1. Getting home right before the rain starts
2. Bob Dylan - and his cool Super Bowl commercial
3. The compassionate and encouraging comments regarding my photo from yesterday. Thank you so, so much...you can't imagine what a huge boost those were to my sometimes flagging morale.
A beautiful capture of the lighting, and also a nice tribute to them all

And Peggy Buddy Holly had a very well named song - Peggy Sue!

I love the idea and what a great capture of the light casting the shadowy reflections. My very first 45 rpm record was "That'll be the Day" by Buddy Holly and the Crickets. I still have it. Wow, that takes me back :-)

Wonderful cross-sectional shadows. Would be a challenging painting exercise.

Peggy this is such a perfect tribute to them because it's sooo artistic. I always loved that song, American Pie but I was clueless for the longest time what it was about.
